Elective 2D 3D and 4D prenatal ultrasounds provide expectant mothers and family with an opportunity to bond with their unborn baby in a calm, and friendly environment.
3D is a still image while 4D adds the dimension of motion to the image so it looks like a video.
3D/4D ultrasounds use the same frequency as your doctor uses in the normal 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been performed for over 30 years and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use. We strictly adhere to the FDA’s standards.
No, this is an elective ultrasound so insurance will not cover it.
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services.
We do not contact your doctor regarding your 3D/4D ultrasound since this is an elective ultrasound. If we see something wrong with the scan we will then forward them the report to follow up on.
Our goal is to provide you with the best images possible. The quality of images are dependent on many factors; fetal and placental position, amount of amniotic fluid, etc. We have lots of tips and tricks to get baby to move. But, if the baby continues to be uncooperative throughout the length of the scan, we will reschedule you to come back for another scan.
Whoever you choose! Our studio welcomes and encourages your family, friends, and children to come. Please let us know approximately how many people you expect when scheduling your appointment.
Most babies cooperate for us the first time. But, if your baby is shy for your entire visit, your ultrasound technician may decide to schedule you for one of our complimentary redo visits to try again within 2 weeks. This is only to our ultrasound technicians discretion.
